Special Issue on Asian Criminology
Interdisciplinary Social Research Reports invites submissions for a special issue dedicated to exploring Asian Criminology. This special issue aims to advance the understanding of crime and justice within the diverse cultural, political, economic, and social contexts of Asia.
Scope and TopicsWe welcome original research articles, reviews, and theoretical papers that address, but are not limited to, the following topics:
- Comparative criminology in Asian contexts
- Cultural influences on crime and justice
- Development of criminological theories based on Asian experiences
- Crime patterns and justice policies in Asian countries
- Innovations in criminal justice practices in Asia
- Historical perspectives on crime and justice in Asia
- Impact of Western criminological theories on Asian criminology
- Indigenous criminological theories and practices in Asia
- Case studies and empirical research on crime and justice in specific Asian countries or regions
- Testing and Adapting Theories: Examine and test established criminological theories in Asian contexts.
- Theory Development: Develop new criminological theories based on empirical evidence from Asian countries.
- Policy and Practice: Analyze the implications of Asian criminological research for policy and practice.
- Manuscript Length: Submissions should typically be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, excluding references, tables, and figures.
- Formatting: Manuscripts should follow the journal’s submission guidelines.
- Peer Review: All submissions will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
- Submission Deadline: Oct. 12, 2024
- Expected Publication Date: Dec. 1, 2024
